Please join us on Sunday, April 30 to hear guest preacher Rev. Joseph Mondesir as he explores Acts 17:22-29 in his sermon, “The Unknown God.”
Joseph Erode Mondesir,
Born on September 30, 1970 in the South of Haiti (Les Cayes), was raised in a family deeply committed to Christ. At the age of thirteen, he personally gave his life to Christ after listening to a sermon on John 15: 1-5, because he felt compelled that day to be sure of his salvation. He got baptized at fifteen and since then his walk with the Lord has become deeper and deeper. Motivated by the service whether it’s teaching, preaching, worship or any other Christian work, Joseph’s desire is that God be Glorified always.
He became more and more sensitive to God’s leading in his life, that right after he completed his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Applied Science Faculty in Haiti in 1998, he married his High School sweetheart, Marie Alberte Mondesir who never hesitates to give him her full support for all work in Ministry. One year later he answered God’s call to ministry by entering into the Evangelical Theological Seminary of Port-Au-Prince where he completed a Bachelor of Arts of Theology in 2003 while he was holding a secular job and some ministry responsibilities at his church.
He was ordained six years later to preach the word of God. Even after he immigrated into the United States in 2004, Joseph Mondesir has not only continued to serve Jesus in the Haitian community, but he is also very well engaged in various ministries at Valley Baptist Church of San Rafael, where he is also an active member. Even with a so busy life he is a student at the University of Texas of Permian Basin in Business Management.
Joseph is also a dedicated family man and the father of four beautiful little girls (Esther, Sarah, Ruth, and Danielle) that he loves very much. He really wants to see them grow in every way possible in life more specially in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Joseph’s goal is to teach the Word of God. His love for people and his desire to reach the lost are evident in the way he communicates Bible truths with Passion. He is excited to see what God will do in the coming years by using him and other believers around the world to save the Lost.
