Listen to Pastor Sally’s First Sermon

May 28, 2017 “Drinking of the Spirit”

Religio-centrism — the idea that one set of beliefs or practices is uniquely the “right” one, and all others are “wrong” — has probably caused more human misery over the centuries than any other. And, sadly, Christianity has much to answer for in this regard.

In this sermon Pastor Tracy looks at one of the founding documents of the early church (1 Corinthians 12: 3b-13) and posits that Paul was arguing the opposite: That being open to a wide variety of beliefs and practices strengthens our faith as individuals and the church as an institution.

Or, as we say at the start of every service “No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here!”
