November 20, 2016 “What Does it Mean to Be Still?”

Dr. Taylor is currently Assistant Director of Recruitment and Admissions at Pacific School of Religion. She was ordained in the United Church of Christ in 1988, and since then has had a wide-ranging career in seminary administration, parish ministry and work with at-risk women. In this sermon, Dr. Taylor addresses the riot of feelings most of us have had in the aftermath of the November 8 election results. She counsels that the most important first step is to follow the message of Psalm 46 — to stop and listen for the voice of God.  This isn’t a prescription for inaction, but a call to seek perspective about what matters most as we move ahead in this changed world.
